Death Photography
A common business in the Victorian age was Death photography. Because of the poverty of most people in that era, most people only had one picture taken of them; when they had just died. In many pictures the people in them seem to be sleeping or lying down when I actuality, they are dead.
Prostitution
There are a few studies that say 1 out of every 10 women in the Victorian age were prostitutes. Oddly, the way that we think of prostitution was much differently used in that era. Any women who was living with a man, but not married to him was considered a prostitute.

The Victorian era was a era of great change. One of the main reasons is the fact that the rulers were extremely intelligent and forward thinking and they had a great amount of foresight. The era is name after queen Victoria (became queen in 1837) she was an unpopular queen because she mourned after her husband for a long time and didn't come outside and greet the public so she lost public favor. Queen Victoria's husband was a man of science and engineering. He was the symbol of the victorian era he promoted the building of the crystal palace and set a base for the industrial revolution that happened later.
